Why we exist.

The western coast of Washington State sits on something called the Cascadia Subduction Zone - essentially where 2 tectonic plates meet and push against each other.

Studies performed by the US Geological survey have concluded that we are up to 200 years overdue for a magnitude 9.7 earthquake.

We know that in Pierce county our emergency services are understaffed, especially prevalent in unincorporated Pierce County.

How we fit in

We are a local team of Amateur Radio Operators who work with the county and state level ARES (Amateur Radio Emergency Service) and other organizations to ensure ground truth is reported to the FEMA designated Emergency Operations Center (EOC)
